Delivered Duty Paid, commonly called DDP, means that the import charges expressly listed in an accepted quote are arranged for prepayment through the supported delivery route. It does not mean that tax or customs duty has been waived.
Charges that may be included
- Import VAT or destination tax included in the quote.
- Applicable customs duty or tariff amount.
- Clearance or handling fees expressly identified in writing.
What determines the quote
- Delivery country, territory and postal region.
- Customs value and freight or insurance basis.
- Product type and customs classification.
- Current tariffs and supported carrier route.
What is not guaranteed
- No universal DDP percentage for every product.
- No claim that every order is tax included.
- No guarantee that customs will never request information.
- No coverage for charges excluded from the written quote.
Correct customer wording: use “Optional DDP Prepaid Import Charges” or “Optional Import Charges Prepayment.” Do not describe the service as “duty-free” or “tax-free,” because the charges are prepaid rather than eliminated.

Destination VAT normally applies
Imported automotive electronics can be subject to destination VAT, customs duty and taxable freight or handling costs. The calculator uses the selected standard VAT rate as a reference only.
Most iKAGOO products exceed the €150 IOSS limit
IOSS applies only to qualifying imported goods not exceeding €150. Higher-value digital instrument clusters and Android head units require standard import VAT and customs handling rather than being presented as IOSS orders.
A current product-specific quote is required
As reviewed on 16 June 2026, duty-free de minimis treatment remains suspended and the temporary 10% U.S. import surcharge remains relevant during its stated effective period, subject to exclusions and other applicable duties.

After confirmation: only the charges expressly listed in the accepted DDP quote are prepaid. Charges that are excluded, newly imposed or caused by incorrect consignee information remain outside the confirmed service.

- Original infotainment or factory system information.

Do not provide an incomplete address: customs delays, failed delivery, storage charges or return costs caused by missing consignee information are not controlled by the product compatibility review.
What Optional DDP Covers and What It Does Not Cover
The accepted option can cover
- Import-charge items listed in the confirmed quote.
- Pre-shipment review of the eligible destination and route.
- Prepayment through the accepted carrier arrangement.
- A clearer landed-cost decision before dispatch.
The option does not automatically cover
- Taxes, penalties or fees not identified in the quote.
- Return-shipping duty, re-import fees or local repair charges.
- Customs delays or inspection time.
- Costs caused by an incorrect address or missing recipient details.
- Tariff changes after the quotation expires or the route changes.
Quotation validity: an optional DDP quote applies only to the product, declared value, delivery address, quotation period and carrier route stated in that quote.
Why Import Charges Require a Current Quote
Import costs are affected by destination tax rules, customs value, product classification, origin, tariff measures and the carrier’s customs route. A single global percentage would not be reliable for every digital instrument cluster or Android head unit order.

iKAGOO Shipping, Delivery and Import Duty Questions
How long does iKAGOO shipping normally take?
Processing normally takes 1–3 business days. Estimated delivery after dispatch is usually 5–9 business days for the United States and Canada, 7–15 business days for the European Union, and 7–10 business days for the United Kingdom and Australia.
Is international tracking included?
A tracking number is normally provided after dispatch. Tracking updates may not appear immediately while the parcel is transferred into the carrier’s international network.
Are customs duty and VAT included in every iKAGOO order?
No. Import charges are included only when an eligible optional DDP quote has been accepted before shipment. Without confirmed DDP service, the recipient may be responsible for destination taxes, duties and carrier clearance charges.
Does DDP mean that the order is duty-free?
No. DDP does not remove duty or tax. It means the charges listed in the accepted quote are arranged for prepayment through the supported route.
Can I request DDP shipping for a digital instrument cluster?
Yes, when the destination, product value, classification and shipping route are eligible. Send the product link and full destination details before dispatch so the route can be reviewed.
Can I request DDP delivery for an Android head unit?
Yes, subject to the same destination and route review. The Android head unit version and vehicle compatibility should also be confirmed before the shipment is prepared.
Why is there no single fixed DDP percentage?
Import costs depend on the country, product classification, declared value, freight basis, tariff measures and carrier route. A single worldwide percentage would be inaccurate.
Can IOSS be used for a high-value digital cluster order?
IOSS applies to qualifying imported goods not exceeding €150. Most complete digital instrument clusters and premium Android head units exceed this value and therefore require another import handling route.
What can delay an international shipment?
Compatibility confirmation, missing address details, customs inspection, remote-area delivery, weather, holidays, carrier congestion and requests for recipient identification can all affect delivery timing.
How do I request a shipping or DDP quote?
Send the product link, quantity, destination country, state or region and postal code to iKAGOO before shipment. The available route, estimated amount and covered charges must be confirmed in writing.
